about gwg

Girls With Gifts, Inc. (GWG) was founded in 2011, in order to inspire and empower young girls to recognize and develop their talents or gifts at an early age and to encourage them to use their gifts to contribute to society. Following the mantra “Reach Back, Pull Forward”, GWG focuses on providing resources and mentorship for underserved girls who have an interest in the arts and entertainment. Once a girl becomes a mentee, she is paired with a qualified mentor with similar interests. The organization provides trainings, speaker/panel discussions, “day in the life” opportunities and other tools and support needed to help cultivate these young ladies’ gifts. GWG’s ultimate goal is to be a national mentorship program – not just an organization, but a movement! GWG and its members are committed to inspiring and empowering young girls, one “gift” at a time. Girls With Gifts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based out of Los Angeles, CA. All contributions to Girls With Gifts, Inc. are tax-deductible.

The mission of Girls With Gifts, Inc. is to cultivate the talents of young ladies, ages 12-18, with emphasis on the arts, education and self-empowerment. Our organization focuses on personal development, mental health, service to others and scholastic excellence. Following the mantra, “Reach Back, Pull Forward,” GWG is an organization focused on changing the world through passionate young women, one gift at a time.

Girls With Gifts, Inc. is not just an organization, it is a movement of GIFTED professional women who use their talents to inspire, educate and create change in the community. Through our annual Reach Back, Pull Forward Mentorship Program, we’ve mentored over 100 girls, provided resources to help cultivate their gifts and connected them to industry professionals to assist with their career development.
